报告人简介：
Dr. Xinlei Wang is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He received his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering from UIUC in 2000. He worked as a lecturer in the Department of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University from 1987 to 1994. Prior to joining the University of Illinois in 2002, he worked as a senior development engineer for International Truck and Engine Corporation on diesel emission control. He has more than 130 publications in his research field and has three U.S. patents. His current research interests include air quality and emission control, environmental control, renewable energy, and building energy efficiency. Dr. Wang has served as the faculty advisor for the Solar Decathlon team at UIUC since 2007. He received the Everitt Award for Teaching Excellence from the College of Engineering at UIUC in 2010, the Distinguished Service Award from ASHRAE in 2011, the Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching from the College of ACES at UIUC in 2012, and Sustainability Fellow Researcher Award from UIUC in 2013. He currently serves as Associate Head and Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at UIUC. He is also a senior member of Executive Committee in the College of Engineering.
王新雷，男，博士，伊利诺伊大学香槟分校生物与农业工程系和机械工程系教授，副主任，工程学院执行委员会高级成员。1980-87年就读于浙江大学工程热物理系，分获学士和硕士学位。1987-94年留校任教。1999年获美国伊利诺伊大学生物环境工程专业博士学位。毕业后从事为期一年博士后研究。曾受聘于美国International Truck and Engine Corporation 担任技术中心高级开发工程师，从事车辆系统的模拟仿真及发动机排放控制等研究。王新雷博士是美国汽车工程师协会(SAE)会员，美国空调制冷采暖机械工程师协会(ASHRAE)会员，美国农业和生物工程师协会(ASABE)会员和美国工程教育协会(ASEE)会员。2008年被收入美国名人录，2009年被收入世界名人录。他先后于2005和2006被学生评为优秀教师并获2006 J. Kent Mitchell优秀教学奖, 2009 Ben and Georgeann Jones优秀教学奖, 2010工学院 Everitt 优秀教学奖。2013荣获伊利诺伊大学可持续发展学者称号。王新雷教授主要研究领域环境和能源，包括：空气品质测量和控制，车辆排放控制及后处理，室内环境控制，建筑节能，洁净及再生能源。已在国际期刊及国际会议发表120余篇论文, 美国发明专利3项。
