On January 29th, the 4th Belt and Road Economic and Environmental Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing. This forum was jointly organized by the All-China Environment Federation and Zhejiang University of Technology. Over 500 representatives from government departments, embassies in China, and international organizations gathered to explore new paths for international cooperation in green industries. Former Vice Minister of the 14th Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Zhai Qing, Chairman of the All-China Environment Federation, Wang Xiufeng, and the head of the university's Science and Technology Research Institute attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
Zhai Qing emphasized the need to adhere to the concept of green development. He pointed out that the Belt and Road green brand overseas promotion plan provides an important platform for international cooperation.
The head of the university's Science and Technology Research Institute stated that in recent years, Zhejiang University of Technology has fully leveraged its disciplinary platform advantages and actively engaged in Belt and Road green technology cooperation and environmental governance. Currently, the university has jointly established laboratories with countries along the route, facilitating technological research and development and the transformation of achievements.
The Silk Road Ecological Environment Monitoring and Restoration Sub-forum, co-hosted by Zhejiang University of Technology and the All-China Environment Federation, brought together representatives from research institutions in China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and other countries. The roundtable dialogue focused on issues such as cross-border ecological governance collaboration, technological achievement transformation, and digital empowerment.
