ZJUT joined the Canal University City Alliance

Recently, the founding conference of the Canal University City Alliance was held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. Xie Yanchun, Vice President of Xinhua News Agency, Zheng Haitao, Mayor of Yangzhou and Chairperson of the World Canal City Cooperation Organization (WCCO), and representatives from 23 universities from 10 countries around the world, as well as representatives from relevant international organizations and enterprises, attended the conference either online or offline. Vice President Zheng Hua of the university was invited to attend the conference and participate in the thematic discussion, witnessing the establishment of the alliance together with domestic and foreign guests.

 

The Canal University City Alliance (CUCM) was initiated by Yangzhou University, Nanjing University, Renmin University of China, Ocean University of China and the World Canal City Cooperation Organization. It is composed of 23 universities from 10 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Zhejiang University of Technology is one of the founding universities of the alliance. The alliance connects universities along the canal in domestic and foreign cities through the canal, promoting in-depth cooperation among member universities in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research. This marks the official launch of the Canal University City Alliance.

 

At the conference, the alliance held a ceremony to present cooperation unit plaques. The conference also held a thematic discussion, with 14 representatives from universities, institutions and enterprises at home and abroad, as well as experts and scholars participating in the discussion.
