On the afternoon of October 28th, the Second Women's Congress of ZJUT was held at the Teacher and Student Activity Center in Chaohui Campus. Women representatives from all fields of the university gathered together to discuss the development plans for women's affairs in the school. Yu Guojuan, member of the Party Group and vice chairperson of the Zhejiang Women's Federation, and Cai Yuanqiang, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
Yu Guojuan, on behalf of the Zhejiang Women's Federation, extended her congratulations on the convening of the congress. She highly affirmed the achievements made by the Women's Federation of ZJUT in the past five years.
Cai Yuanqiang pointed out that women are half the sky and an important force for promoting the development and progress of the university. The congress invited Yang Dan, the first female chair professor of Westlake University and an organic synthesis chemist, to give a special report.
