ZJUT and University of Exeter Sign Cooperation Agreement

On December 17th, 2024, a delegation from the University of Exeter visited Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT). During the visit, Vice-Chancellor Lisa Roberts of the University of Exeter and President Gao Xiang, who is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities.


At the signing ceremony, Gao Xiang emphasized that ZJUT is striving to build a world-class university with Chinese characteristics and aims to become a hub for international education and global cultural exchange. Currently, ZJUT has established strong cooperative relations with over 180 universities worldwide. The University of Exeter is a significant global strategic partner for ZJUT. Gao Xiang expressed the hope that this agreement would serve as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in education, talent development, research, and technology transfer, thereby making greater contributions to the development of global higher education.


Lisa Roberts stated that the University of Exeter has listed global climate issues and ecological crises, key issues in human health, and improving social inclusivity as part of its 2030 development strategy. She looks forward to future collaborative efforts between the two universities to further expand their influence in education and research in fields such as energy and environment, as well as digital technology.
