From April 10th to 11th, 2024, Prof. Richard Follett, Vice President of the University of Exeter, Prof. Stuart Bearhop, Assistant Vice President and Prof. Li Li, Assistant Vice President of the University of Exeter visited Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT). Gao Xiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of ZJUT, along with Vice Presidents Zheng Huajun and Zhang Xiaoqin, met with the delegation.
Gao Xiang warmly welcomed the return visit of Vice President Richard Follett and his delegation, introducing the academic strength, characteristics, and influence of the university. He mentioned that ZJUT and the University of Exeter have a good foundation for cooperation, and the delegation’s visit will further enhance mutual understanding between the two universities, playing an important role in future cooperation in students and faculty exchanges and scientific research.
Richard Follett expressed gratitude for the warm reception from ZJUT. He noted that both universities have many common advantages in disciplines and broad prospects for cooperation. He expected the two sides to further promote joint talent cultivation and research collaboration, constructing a model of high-level education cooperation between China and the UK.
During the visit, the two universities signed a letter of intent for cooperation.
