Recently, Mr. Mahinda Vallipuram, Chairman of the Development Committee of the Asian Cricket Council, was appointed as a visiting professor of Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT). The appointment ceremony took place at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Stadium.
President Gao Xiang presented Mr. Mahinda Vallipuram with the letter of appointment as a visiting professor and adorned him with the university emblem. Dinesh Muthuraman, Director of Cricket Events at the Asian Games, Prabhakaran Thanraj, Technical Representative of Cricket Events, Vice President Jin Xiaoming, and others attended the appointment ceremony.
President Gao Xiang introduced the university’s development history and the construction of the cricket field to the guests, aiming to showcase the charm of the university, the strength of China, and the beauty of Asia, promoting the spread and development of cricket culture in the university and in China.
Mr. Mahinda Vallipuram expressed great honor of being appointed as a visiting professor at the university and pledged to contribute to the popularization and promotion of cricket. He hoped that, with joint efforts, the cricket field at the Pingfeng Campus of ZJUT could play an active role in promoting cricket in China.
