On the afternoon of June 18th, the 2023 graduate degree awarding ceremony took place at the Pingfeng Campus gymnasium. The ceremony was presided over by Li Xiaonian, Chairman of the Degree Evaluation Committee and President of Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), and Chen Jie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee. Representatives of relevant functional departments, college leaders, graduate advisors, and graduate students attended the ceremony, which was simultaneously broadcast online.
Chen Jie announced the formal commencement of the degree awarding ceremony, and Chen Jiming read the decision to confer doctoral and master’s degrees. The head of the Graduate School served as the master of ceremonies.
Professor Li Xiaonian presented degree certificates to each graduate student and took commemorative photos with them separately. During the ceremony, recognition was given to the “Outstanding Doctoral and Master’s Thesis Awardees of 2023”. After deliberation at the meeting of the ZJUT Degree Evaluation Committee, 106 candidates were awarded doctoral degrees, and 3,006 graduate students were awarded master’s degrees.
The university’s graduate degree awarding ceremony has been held for twelve consecutive years, playing a vital role in promoting high-quality ideological and political education for graduate students through ceremony.
