On May 23, the fiirst International Cultural Exchange Week and the opening ceremony of Global Jianxing was held in Pingfeng Campus. Vice President Yu Xiaofen attended the opening ceremony, and representatives from six overseas universities, including the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, sent their congratulations through the Internet. More than 400 teachers and students from the School of Humanities, The School of Computer Science and the School of Jianxing attended the opening ceremony.
Yu Xiaofen delivered a speech. She pointed out that the internationalization of education has become an inevitable trend. International talents should have an international vision, innovation consciousness and responsibility. They should learn Chinese and western as well as ancient and modern knowledge, integrate arts and sciences and actively participate in overseas study and exchange.
German Prof. Adrian Hamers gave a presentation on The Analysis of the Dense Objects and Gravitational Waves at the Center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and Prof. Kai-kit Wong from University College London gave a presentation on The Scientific Life of the University.
It was reported that there were 6 online lectures and 3 offline English salons in this Global Jianxing International Cultural Exchange Week. The lectures included expert lectures, special sessions of famous universities, study abroad skills, experience sharing, English speeches and other activities. Jianxing College has signed strategic cooperation agreements with The University of Cambridge and the University of Toronto, introducing high-quality education resources from world-class universities, elaborating a series of international courses and international academic lectures, organizing summer school programs and visiting study programs to overseas universities, and expanding students' global vision.
