The college of environment started from 1994, was founded in 2015. It offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering (the advantageous major in Zhejiang province) and Environment Science (the featured major in Zhejiang province), of which the major of environmental engineering is certified by China Engineering Education Accreditation Association. It has the first-level discipline authorized to confer doctoral degree in Environmental Science and Engineering, also the post-doctoral mobile stations (the only one in Zhejiang provincial universities ) and it offers the first-level discipline of master degree in environmental science and engineering, and the masters for the academic degree of environmental engineering major. The discipline of environmental science and engineering is the first batch of key construction disciplines in Zhejiang province, selected as the first class discipline in Zhejiang province ( class A),enters ESI top 1% and gradually moves forward. For more than 20 years, the college has been developing rapidly and has formed a complete talent training system for masters, doctors and post-doctors and the scientific research and innovation system of basic research -- applied basic research -- applied research.
The college has a strong faculty team .There are 100 faculty staff, including 26 high level senior talents of state and provincial (whom are the leader of “Changjiang Scholars and innovation team development plan innovation team etc.) , 54 professors and associate professors, 29 doctorial tutor , 57 master tutor .There are 84 teachers with doctor's degree, the ratio of full-time teachers with doctor's degree more than 90%. There are 477 graduates and doctors and 390 undergraduates. The college has established long term close cooperation with famous universities and scientific research institute in the United States, Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, Spain, Belgium etc. It has made great progress in student co-cultivation, scientific research cooperation, staff exchange, academic communication etc.
