School of Law comprises 6 disciplines, namely, Science of Procedural Laws, Science of Criminal Law, Science of Civil Law, Science of Economic Law, International Law and Legal Theories, among which the first one is a university key discipline and runs a master program. Currently, there are over 800 undergraduate students and 46 faculty members in the school. 18 of them are professors or associate professors and over 90% of the faculty hold a master's or doctoral degree. The school includes subsidiary institutes such as the Department of Law, Research Institute of Law and Research Center of Human Rights.
With a floor space of 12,000 m 2 , The Law School building includes one 240-seat Chinese-style moot court and two smaller moot courts, one of Chinese style and the other of western style. All of the three courts are equipped with modern multimedia teaching facilities and can be used for either teaching practices or real trials. The Reference Room of the school possesses abundant legal material in both Chinese and foreign languages.
Long-term partnership is established between Southwest University of Political Science and Law and the school to train masters of law. ZJUT Legal Affairs Center is established by the school and other legal affairs institutes. Legal Assistance Station is also established by the government and the school to provide legal assistance for the society. In the recent years, many teachers have been chosen as provincial legislative consultative or teachers for judges-training and prosecuting attorneys in Zhejiang province.
