Continuing education is an important part of talent cultivation, it’s also an important channel for universities to serve the society. Since continuing education began in 1958, our university has trained more than 110,000 college students and nearly 100,000 high-quality talents urgently needed by the country in the form of night university, self-study examination, adult academic education and non-academic education. It has formed a diversified talent training system with the combination of inside and outside school, the linkage of academic education and non- academic education, and the connection between junior college and undergraduate.
As one of the earliest universities to carry out adult academic education in Zhejiang province, our university is the leading education brand in the province. Both the numbers of enrollment and students at school are in the top rank in the province. Relying on the discipline and major advantages of the school, adult academic education carries out the double combination education mode of “combining lecturer and teaching assistant, and combining online and offline”, aiming to cultivate applied talents who are “literate, able to learn and able to work” for the society.
Our university is one of the first batch of higher education self-study examination institutions in the province. At present, there are 7 undergraduate majors and 4 junior college majors, enrolling students from the society, providing a good way for students to improve their academic qualifications and become talents by self-study.
Our university is a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, which is approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Security. Over the years, the school has given full play to the advantages of disciplines, majors and talents, developed diversified training projects focusing on party and government cadres, teachers, professional and technical backbones and enterprise management personnel, formed a multi-level education and training system of school local cooperation, integration of industry and education and customized training, and trained more than 20,000 high-quality talents in various industries and fields across the country every year.
