On October 28, the launching ceremony of the Forst Building (College of Materials Science and Engineering Building) of Zhejiang University of Technology was held in Moganshan campus. Cai Yuanqiang, Secretary of Party Committee of ZJUT, Lin Jianhua, chairman of Hangzhou Forst Applied Materials Co., Ltd. who was also an outstanding alumni of the 1982 Chemical Machinery College, and Zhang Hong, general manager of Forst company attended the ceremony.
On behalf of ZJUT, Cai Yuanqiang extended a warm welcome to the Lin Jianhua and his entourage. He congratulated the launching of the Forst Building, and expressed heartfelt thanks to Lin Jianhua and Zhang Hong for supporting Zhejiang University of Technology, especially the College of Materials Science and Engineering. He said that the caring and affections that Lin Jianhua had towards his alma mater of ZJUT and towards education and society should be memorized by all teachers and students. Our university in return named the college of Materials Science and Engineering "Forst Building" as a way to say thank to Lin Jianhua for supporting our university.
Lin Jianhua expressed his gratitude to his alma mater and was proud of the achievements of it. He said that the official launching of the Forst Building has provided a long-term platform for university-enterprise comprehensive cooperation. He said that as a student of ZJUT he should win honor for it. He should always be grateful to and be more concerned about the construction of ZJUT.
At the ceremony, under the witness of the guests, teachers and students, Lin Jianhua, Zhang Hong, Cai Yuanqiang and others jointly opened the Foster Building. Cai Yuanqiang presented Lin Jianhua and Zhang Hong with a commemorative plaque for the launching of the Foster Building.
In May 2020, Lin Jianhua, Chairman of Forst company donated 20 million Yuan to Zhejiang University of Technology. At the same time, the school signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Forst company.
