From May 30 to 31, Professor Kazuo Shoji, President of Ashikaga University (originally Ashikaga Institute of Technology), Japan, together with other delegation members, visited Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT).
Professor Li Xiaonian, President of ZJUT, welcomed the guests and briefed them on the recent development of ZJUT and expressed deep gratitude to Ashikaga University for the help and support for the development of ZJUT. He hoped to consolidate and deepen the friendship between the two universities through high-level bilateral exchange, scholar visit, and cooperation in related disciplines and scientific research fields.
In return, Professor Kazuo Shoji shared the latest development of Ashikaga University, and expressed the willingness to further expand the areas and scopes of cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
Following the meeting, the two sides signed a new cooperation agreement.

Ashikaga University is located in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It was originally titled Ashikaga Institute of Technology, and renamed in 2018. Ashikaga University is the first overseas institution to establish friendly relations and cooperation with ZJUT. On September 6, 1983, the two universities signed a memorandum of cooperation and officially became partners.
