The ‘Returning Home’ Exhibition, works ofsophomores from the Animation and Digital Media Art Department, the School of Design, was held in the lobby of the Art Building.
More than five hundred pieces of work were exhibited, including sketches, watercolors, art journals, and so on. In addition tothe traditional life painting, digital animated design was the highlight, presenting what they had seen and heard about, and how they felt in forms of animated pictures and short videos, which were made from their collected materials.
All works were from the field trip to four villages and towns in Anhui Province from Sept. 13 to18, as part of their short-term programme. During their trip, students sketched ancient architecture in the daytime and recorded their experiences and feelings in theirdrawingjournals at night.
