On November 11, the Tenth Jinghong Trailwalk came to a successful end. More than 5500 people including students, staff and alumni had signed up for it, among whom the number of alumni reached record-high 419 persons.
This year, the total distance of the trailwalk route was 25 km, along which nine ‘punch-in points’ including Jinlian Temple, Cimu Bridge and Pingfeng Mountain were set up for recording the process. All participants took part in groups of 2-6. The actual number of participants on that day reached 4241 (1279 groups), with 1276 participants (319 groups) completing half the journey and 2670 participants (878 groups) finishing the whole trip.
What was new this year was that there were two kinds of routes: half-journey and whole-journey. Different medals and awards were provided according to the chosen routes.
The Jinghong Trailwalk is a big hiking event initiated and organized by the student organization Jinghong Network. Ten events have been successfully held since 2012. It has become an unforgettable experience for many students, staff and alumni.
