From November 3 to 4, the 2017 Mogan Mountain International Summit on Green Pharmaceuticals, i.e., the unveiling ceremony ofthe ‘Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Green Pharmaceuticals Discipline Innovation’ was held in Deqing, Zhejiang Province.
Addressing the opening ceremony were Chen Jianmeng, Vice President of Zhejiang University of Techonology (ZJUT); Li Yong, Director General of Zhejiang Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs; and Rados·aw Dobrowolski, Vice President of Maria Curie-Sk?odowska University.Academicians and experts from both home and abroad, such as Nikolay Lyahov and Alexandr Dushkin from the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Li Chaojun from the Academy of Science, the Royal Society of Canada, gave academic reports. More than 200 scholars and researchers from the U.S., Canada, Russia, Poland, Japan, and China, as well as staff and students from related disciplines atZJUT attended the summit.
The summit aimed at promoting international cooperation in terms of personnel, technology and projects in Green Pharmaceuticals, the development of Green Pharmaceutical technology, and the transformation and upgrading of pharmaceutical companies, Chen Jianmeng said in his speech. He also mentioned the achievements of innovative research groups, and the policy-making process at ZJUT related to overseas intelligence introduction and international cooperation.
Mr. Dobrowolski said it was a great pleasure to set up a division center of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Yangtze River Delta Green Pharmaceuticals (CICYRDGP) in Poland, which will help to promote the development of pharmaceuticals in China and Poland.
During the ceremony, Chen Jianmeng and Su Weike awarded letters of appointment to 13 oversea experts, including Nikolay Lyakhov, Alexandr Dushkin, Li Chaojun, and Rado·aw Dobrowolski.
The Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Green Pharmaceuticals Discipline Innovation is abbreviated as ‘111 Center’, and is based onthe CICYRDGP of ZJUT.
