On October 14, theInternational Top-Level Forum on Engineering Science and Technology Development Strategy: Artificial Intelligence and Simulation was held at Hangzhou International Expo Center.It was an important academic meeting after China had released its new research scheme for artificial intelligence (AI).
With the theme of ‘Intelligent Simulation Technology’, the forum discussed issues such as the upgrade of AI, the direction of development and challenges of intelligent modelling simulation technology.
Academician Zhao Qinping from the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Prof. Hua Ertian, Vice President of Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), addressed the forum. Zhao recalled the original intention and the history of the forum, and expressed his gratitude for the effort made by the College of Information Engineering, ZJUT. Prof. Hua, on behalf of ZJUT, extended his warm welcome to the guests, and introduced the history of ZJUT and its characteristics of running the university –‘Practise Zhejiang spirit and interact with local development’.
Academicians Pan Yunhe and Li Bohu from theCAE, Axel Lehmann, Fellow ofPresidium of the Society of Computer Science (German: Gesellschaft für Informatik ), Prof. Li Geng from the University of Glasgow, and Prof. Markos Papageorgiou from Technical University of Crete made reports at the forum.
