On the afternoon of 14 September, the collegiate men's volleyball matches came to a successful close in the gymnasium of Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) on Pingfeng campus. Shandong Team triumphed over Shanghai Team 3-2.
The prize-awarding ceremony followed the finals. Chief Referee Wang Jun announced the results of the men's volleyball matches of this year.
Mr. Hua Ertian, Executive Director of the 13th National Student Sports Games and Vice President of ZJUT, Mr. Sun Lewei, Director of Physical, Health and Arts Education of the Education Department of Shandong Province, and Mr. Zhao Jun, Chairman of Competition Department of Zhejiang Collegiate Athletic Association,gave medals to the athletes from the top three delegations.
Since the latter half of last year, ZJUT has been maintaining and renovating relevant facilities and equipment, and eventually passed all the tests and checks for the incoming games.
During the games, 190 volunteers from ZJUT provided services for the collegiate men’s volleyball matches, middle school women's football matches, middle school men's volleyball matches, and the opening ceremony of this year’s games, at different venues, winning wide acclaim.
From 10 to 13 September, Cai Yuanqiang, Party Committee Secretary of ZJUT, BaoXuejun, Inspector from the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, and Chen Hongying, Vice Mayor of Hangzhou, visited the supporting teams. National and provincial mainstream media covered the events at ZJUT.
