On the afternoon of 22 March, Chen Fen’er, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and professor of Fudan University, was appointed as the chief scientist of Collaborative Innovation Center of Yangtze River Delta Region Green Pharmaceuticals (CICYRDRGP).
The appointment ceremony was held on Zhaohui Campus, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT). ZJUT President Cai Yuanqiang and Vice President Yu Xiaofen attended the ceremony.
Cai extended his sincere thanks to Prof. Chen for joining the Center as the chief scientist, saying that his future guidance and help to both student cultivation and first-class disciplinary development would be beneficial to the Center. Besides, ZJUT would also whole heartedly support and collaborate with his work.
Chen said that Zhejiang province had a solid foundation for fine chemical industry and would prosper in this field in the future; ZJUT has long been cooperating well with local businesses. He would continue doing research and endeavor to make contributions to the pharmacy industrialization in China.
Dr. Chen Fen’er specializes in fine organic chemistry and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), having invented five new techniques of producing 13 APIs on his own. He joined CAE as an academician in 2015.
