From December 7th to 11th, the 2016 “FLTRP Cup” English Public Speaking Contest was held in Beijing.
Instructed by Ms. Tong Lin and Ms. Xu Yanjie, junior student Yu Jingyao from the College of Foreign Languages at Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT), won fourth place at the final.
As one of the representatives of Zhejiang Division, Yu Jingyao has competed with other candidates from Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, China Foreign Affairs University, etc.
The 2016 “FLTRP Cup” English Public Speaking Contest has ‘Ground Arena’ and ‘Online Arena’, including prepared speech, impromptu speech, comprehensive speech and interactive speech.
Yu Jingyao ranked fourth in this national competition, which was also the highest prize for the Zhejiang Division for this year.
The “FLTRP Cup” English Public Speaking Contest is one of the five major “FLTRP Cup” English Contests, co-organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press(FLTRP), the ELT Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, and the National Research Center for Foreign Language Education.
