From May 7 to 8, a seminar with the theme of “Win-win Strategy, Common Prosperity of China and the World” was held in Hangzhou. This seminar was co-sponsored by Zhejiang University of Technology and China Academy of Western Region Development of Zhejiang University.
During the opening ceremony, Liu Jinsong, Deputy Director of the Department of International Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qu Dongsheng, Deputy Director of the Department of Western Region Development of NDRC, Farhat Ayesha, Consul General ad interim of Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Shanghai, Wang Tonglin, Vice Director of the Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, Yi Jian, Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, Mei Xinling, Party Secretary of ZJUT, Zhou Guping, Vice Party Secretary of ZJUT, delivered speeches respectively on half of the participants from home and abroad.
The seminar attracted over 100 representatives of the Chinese government officials, renowned entrepreneurs, think-tank experts, scholars, and Consulates in China from 12 countries of Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America, including Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Pakistan, and Nigeria and so on. Prestigious scholars from home and abroad, Chinese policymakers, Consulates in China from emerging markets around the “One Belt and One Road”, as well as representatives of Zhejiang entrepreneurs who have conducted important international cooperation in production capacity with counties around the “One Belt and One Road”, were invited to attend the Round-table seminar to discuss about international cooperation in production capacity. During the global economic downturn, how to conduct the international cooperation in production capacity between China and the major emerging economies in the world, and how to accelerate the industrial upgrade, common development and common prosperity of China and the world? Those were the major issues explored in this seminar.
